Postdoctoral Associate in Economics Skills

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell University seeks a postdoctoral associate. The positions can be remote (but the home location needs to be in the United States).  The position is initially available for one year with a potential renewal for a total of two years.


We seek a candidate with strong economics skills, ideally with a focus on macroeconomic modeling. Experience with computable general equilibrium modeling is desirable but not required.  Ideally this person would have a Ph.D. in economics or a related field. The focus of this person’s research would be on the connection between hurricanes and regional economics with a particular emphasis to understanding the implications of different policy options for low-income households and how the consequences of different policy pathways could be impacted by evolving climate.

Pay Range:

$54,840.00 - $75,000.00

Pay Ranges:

The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria:

  • Prior relevant work or industry experience.
  • Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.
  • Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
  • Unique applicable skills.
