Our faculty come from a number of disciplinary backgrounds and study a broad range of issues related to labor, employment, and organizations. The ILR School is home to the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution. The Scheinman Institute (http://www.ilr.cornell.edu/scheinman-institute) is the nation’s leading center for the study of workplace conflict resolution, engaging in a broad range of research, teaching, and outreach activities.
What you will do:
The holder of the position will be expected to teach one course on a conflict resolution topic in both the fall and spring semesters on the Cornell Ithaca campus to undergraduates or graduate students and participate in activities of the Scheinman Institute and ILR School i.e., seminars and other Institute gatherings. We are particularly interested in individuals who have expertise and research interests in workplace conflict and its management, including the following topics: mediation and arbitration, conflict management systems design, interpersonal conflict resolution, negotiation, identity and cultural issues, and labor-management conflicts.
The incumbent will work under the supervision of Professor Harry Katz. The position is for a 12-month appointment, with the possibility of renewal for another 12-month period based on available funding and work.
ILR School offers a salary range of $54,800 to $70,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
