The mission of the Biotechnology Resource Center (BRC) Genomics Facility at Cornell University is to develop and provide advanced research services for a wide variety of sequencing and genomics applications to support the Cornell research community.
The focus of the Project Manager is to provide consultation, project management, data processing, and quality control for single-cell and spatial profiling applications offered by the Genomics Facility. This role requires a highly experienced and skilled scientist who will combine outward-facing customer consultations along with internal management and execution of lab workflows and extensive sample and data quality checks. The successful incumbent is a highly organized person with excellent communication, multi-tasking, and mentoring skills who enjoys working with other scientists as well as managing operations of complex, cutting-edge single-cell and spatial profiling applications in a team-based biotechnology facility environment.

Hiring Range for this Position:
$72,000 - $80,000

The Institute of Biotechnology is a dynamic hub for life sciences research at Cornell University. The Institute (https://www.biotech.cornell.edu) offers cutting edge biotechnologies, expertise in applications, technology testing and development and consultation for life sciences researchers at Cornell University and outside institutions. The Institute houses the Biotechnology Resource Center (BRC), which offers shared core facilities services to catalyze and promote life sciences research, and is involved with many intercampus initiatives and multi-institutional collaborations. In addition to Genomics, the BRC includes core facility operations in Proteomics and Metabolomics, Epigenomics, Bioinformatics, Imaging, and Flow Cytometry. The Institute also administers the Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) in the Life Sciences to assist life science researchers in the development of biotechnologies with commercial potential in partnership with New York State industries, and the Center for Life Science Ventures, a state-of- the-art business incubator for emerging biotechnology companies. With its extensive network of academic, federal, not‐for‐profit enterprises and commercial partners, the BRC serves as a vital partner in life sciences research and innovation.
