Cornell Dining’s is looking for customer focused, high energy, inspired, and ready-to-learn individuals who have a passion for food! In this position you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and learn how to:

  • Prepare and present food items for a diverse customer audience.
  • Maintain food standards and health codes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests.
  • Operate point-of-sale retail systems.
  • Wash, organize and stock all key items.
  • Ensure unit cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.

All immediate positions are part-time casual (19 hours per week or less), non-benefits eligible. Hours and schedules are flexible and can include nights and weekends. Available full-time position can be found at dining.cornell.edu/jobs


Required Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills essential. 
  • Basic reading and English speaking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in being a team player, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform various motor skills such as lifting (30+ lbs.), reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting and grasping as needed.
